 If you currently have a CU Hawaii Credit Card, uploading an image to personalize your credit card is quick and easy!

Simply click on the CREATE YOUR MYCU CARD link below. You’ll be prompted to input your member number, credit card type and your name. You may upload a photo of your choice or choose from our gallery of photos on our website.

After you've chosen a photo, submit it for approval. Once your image is approved, your new personalized credit card will be mailed to you within 5 to 7 business days. It's simple and fun to personalize your purchase!

If you don't currently have a personal CU Hawaii Credit Card you may apply for one at any one of our five convenient branch locations or apply now.

Once you’re approved for a personal CU Hawaii Credit Card, you may then personalize your credit card with your favorite photo!

If your image is denied, a CU Hawaii Representative will contact you.  Upon denial of your second image you may be assessed a $5.00 fee. Please review prohibited image types to avoid denial fees. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What is the MyCU Card?
MyCU Card is a credit card that can be customized with your favorite photo by uploading an image or selecting from our image library on our website. 

Who may request a MyCU Card?
Anyone who has been approved for a CU Hawaii VISA credit card.

How much does it cost to get a MyCU Card?
Your first image is FREE.  Upon renewal or if you choose to change your image there will be a $5.00 fee for each card.  Platinum plus Travel card holders receive free renewals.

May I use the computers at the credit union to upload and create a MyCU Card?
No.  Those computers are not capable of uploading images.

Can I have a different card design than the joint member/owner on my account?
Yes.  Every joint card holder may have their own image on their card.

How often can I change my card design?
As often as you wish, but please keep in mind that every image change will be $5.00.

What size/specifications should my photo be?
Format: JPEG
Minimum size: 100 KB
Maximum size: 3 MB

What do I do if my photo is too large/small?
You will have to resize your image or pick one that fits the size limitations.

How do I resize my photo to fit the size limitations?
It depends on the type of image programming you have.  Please refer to your image program options.

What if I only have a hard copy (photo) of the image I want to use/can someone at the credit union scan my photo for me?
Your photo will have to be scanned and saved in a JPEG format.  You may also bring it to any of our five branch locations to be scanned and emailed to you. Please keep in mind that a scanned photo may not provide the best quality picture for a MyCU Card. 

Will my photo be saved for later use?
Your image will only be stored for 30 days. 

How long will it take to receive my card?
Once your image is approved, you should receive your card in 5 to 7 business days.  

When I receive my renewal card, will it still have my personalized image?
No.  Prior to your renewal in 3 years, the credit union will send you a renewal letter to remind you to upload another image or you’ll be sent a standard (non-image) card.  If you’re sent a standard (non-image) card and you wish to convert back to a MyCU Card, simply upload another photo for approval. Please keep in mind that there is a $5.00 renewal fee (if you’re not a Platinum + Travel card holder).

If my card is lost or stolen will my replacement card have my personalized image?
If your card is lost or stolen past 30 days from the date that you uploaded your image, your replacement card will not have your personalized image.  You will have to upload another image.  If your card was lost, there will be a $5.00 replacement fee.

What will happen if my image is denied? 
You’ll receive a call or email from the credit union if your image is denied. If your image is denied multiple times you may be assessed a $5.00 rejected image fee. 

*What types of images are not allowed?
• Competitive Marks/Names (e.g. MasterCard, American Express, etc.)
• Political Statements (e.g. Neo-nazi, Pro-Life, etc.)
• Branded Products, Copyrighted or Trademarked material
• Celebrities/musicians/public figures/athletes/cartoons, etc. (except for those associated
   with approved Affinity/Co-Brand programs)
• Phone Numbers (e.g. 800 or 900 #’s)
• URL addresses (e.g. www.xyz.com)
• Socially Unacceptable Groups (e.g. Gangs, supremacy, etc.)
• Provocative or Sexual content
• Violence
• Profanity or Obscenities
• Any references to the Olympic Games or Events
• Any photo that might result in non-acceptance or other problems at the point of sale
• Any printing or process that interferes with the required security features of the card
• References about religion, race, national origin, sexual orientation, or physical/mental
   handicaps
