Cashier’s Checks & Money Orders 

If you need a cashier’s check or money order, stop by CU Hawaii Federal Credit Union. There is no limit on the amount that a cashier’s check can be issued, and money orders can be issued in any amount up to $1,000. View our fee schedule for possible fees.

Safe Deposit Boxes* 

Keep your documents, passports or jewelry secure. Safe deposit boxes are available at our Hilo, Kea’au and Kailua-Kona branches. Boxes are rented to our members on a first come, first serve basis. See our fee schedule for a list of our safe deposit box prices.

Notary Public 

The next time you need to have documents signed by a Notary Public, stop by your local CU Hawaii branch. Notary Services are free to our members. No appointments necessary for our notary public services.

Medallion Guarantee 

Like our Notary Service, our Medallion Guarantee is free to our members as well. Because this is a securities transfer, an appointment is required for this service. Schedule your appointment today.

Traveler’s Checks 

CU Hawaii offers American Express Travelers Cheques. American Express Traveler’s Cheques are recognized and accepted internationally and are available in denominations of $50, $100 and $500. If your checks are lost or stolen, don’t worry, they are easily refundable.

Members with direct deposit into a CU Hawaii account can get their traveler’s checks free of charge. Otherwise, please review our fee schedule for pricing.

Wire Services

Make sure that your money gets where it needs to go. A wire transfer is a quick and efficient way to send money locally, nationally or internationally. Fees will vary depending upon the amount of the wire and whether the wire is domestic or international. Please view our Schedule of Fees for the fees on wire transfers.

Coin Machine

Turn your change into cash — or deposit it into your account. Just empty your coffee can or jar into the coin machine and let it do the work. You will receive a receipt displaying the total received. Deposit the amount into your account by giving the teller your coin machine receipt.

A nominal fee is charged for this service. The fee is waived for children’s accounts. View our fee schedule for more information.
